"Our Books are dedicated to those individuals

who by choice or profession

read to children or teach children to read."

John & Teresa Crerand

K-6 teachers of regular and special education classes can make effective use of The Adventures of Christopher Otter © to integrate ecology and communication art skills as well as encourage parents to read to their children. Using "realistic" illustrations of woodland-river animals, the stories have been designed to be read by teachers or older students to younger children in grades 1 & 2. Children glean an understanding of how wildlife animals interact in their habitat.

The accompanying Color Activity Book has been designed so that children and adults can both have fun interacting with the material. Children can develop reading skills and content concepts of ecology. Teachers in urban areas as well as rural areas will find the material creatively informative.

These stories feature woodland animals such as Christopher Otter, Benjamin Beaver, Hoot Owl, Windslow Gray Squirrel, Redmond Squirrel, Gardenia Skunk, Clifford Chipmunk, Frog, Blue Heron and Grayfeather Hawk and how they interact in their environment.
